Open tubes do not guarentee that the tubes are working well on a microscopic level. there can be damage to the cells that push the egg down intot he uterus. An infection or even smoking can cause damage to these cells. IVF may be a consideration if you are very frighted. The left tube may still be working fine, even afer the previous ectopic.
