Need feedback regarding Laparoscopy

Hello. This is my first time on this message board.

I have a question on a Laparoscopy I had two weeks ago. The Reproductive Endocrinologist who performed it told me at the post-op today that they made a "perforation" in the uterus and could not do a hysteroscopy or chromotubation. He also said that this is very common and happens all the time.

1. Is it common for the surgeon to make a perforation in the uterus during a laparoscopic procedure?

2. Will it heal and not cause problems should I get pregnant?

My stats:

Age 32 - never been pregnant ttc for 2 years Stage 4 endometriosis diagnosed with a laparatomy in jan 2000. On Lupron Depot for 6 months after that. 2 unsuccessful clomid-hCG-IUI cycles. Elevated fsh at 2nd IUI at 11.1, one "inconclusive" Hysterosalpingogram, which led to a laparoscopy 2 weeks ago. We were just told today that there isn't anything more they can do for us.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Regards

Kalika
