2nd Ectopic, please helpFrom: anon (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 10 Sep 2001 19:46:19 -0500 (CDT)
I just had my second ectopic pregnancy in 13 months. I had an HSG last June that showed my right tube clear, and bubbles in my left tube, I became pregnant in July and was diagnosed ectopic (Left tube) mid August. Resolved by a shot of methotrexate. I had a LAP in Nov that showed both tubes clear, and no uterine abnormalities. On Tuesday I went to emerg. with severe abdominal pain, and after an ultrasound was told I had an ectopic pregnancy in my right tube, which was later removed by LAP. They saved my tube. They said that the reason I had no bleeding was that it was a healthy, well-established pregnancy, just in the wrong place. My question is; if both my tubes were clear, what could have caused the ectopic? I mean, one ectopic was hard enough, but two, without any explaination as to why? Is there other causes of an ectopic pregnancy that I should be aware of? Is it possible for me to go on to have a healthy pregnancy? I am petrified to try again...but we want to have a family so much. Please help, Lisa
