15w4d Pregnant...What is normal???...LOL

This is my 3rd pregnancy...first one that has made it past 8w3d (had 2 d&c's). Every little pain and cramp freaks me out!..LOL Can someone clue me in on what is normal to feel around 15-16 weeks as far as pain and cramping goes? Ive been having occasional menstral-like cramping, a constant dull lower backache like i get with my period, and occasional pains on both sides of abdomen just inside hipbones.

Also...If something is wrong with the pregnancy...will I know it? Im worried about things like incompenent cervix and preterm labor but since i dont know what labor pains or even braxton hicks feel like...I dont know what to look out for. Is there any danger to checking cervix occasionally with clean hands for dialation???

P.S. I also have a doppler and baby's heartrate is usually @150bpm...will heartrate change with labor or if something is wrong or is there something the doppler will pick up as far as something being wrong??
