sharp pain at 35 weeksFrom: Deej (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 6 Sep 2001 09:02:28 -0500 (CDT)
Hi. I am 35.5 weeks and last night for a few hours I had contractions/ BH that lasted for about 30 seconds and were 5-6 mins apart. I have been diagnosed with an irritable uterus so I didn't call the doctor. The contractions have subsided since then but what worries me is that I had a LOT of pain when walking, standing, or sitting during that span of hours when I was contracting. The pain was in my vaginal area and at times was so sharp it brought me to my knees literally. Any idea as to what this may be? After each contraction, my baby got extremely active like he was when I was only 5-6 months pregnant. Could his activity have caused this? I know he is head down and possibly even engaged. Your suggestions are most welcome. Thanks.
