21 weeks -- spotting, bit of cramping

I am 21 weeks pregnant and have had tinges of red/brown spotting throughout my pregnancy. It has been constant in the last 5 days.

Yesterday, I paged my OB (which I HATE to do, especially on a holiday), and he sent me to L&D. They monitored me and did an ultrasound, all came out okay. I was told to take it very easy. Last night, I was awakened by sharp pain on the left side right where my pubic bone is. I rolled around, walked around, went to the bathroom, nothing helped. About 45 min-1hour it went away. It returned for 15 minutes this morning. I have had continuous scant spotting all day, despite "taking it easy"...I don't work, don't have kids...and mild achiness throughout the day.

Does this warrant another call to my doctor? I fear that I am a nuisance.
