Possible gallbladder infection?

I would really appreciate your opinion. About 4 days ago, I developed what seemed to be a GI bug. I had a low-grade temp to 100- 101, diarrhea, overall "sick" feeling. The diarrhea disappeared, but was replaced by a nagging pain which presented just under the breastbone, radiating to under the r. side of the rib cage. It's not an intense pain, but feels rather bruised, and tender to the touch, annoying. Of course, being 7 weeks pg., I feel fatigued and nauseous already. I called my OB who told me to call my reg. MD who said I should take Mylanta and wait. The question of possible gallbladder involvement was raised. My questions are, I still have this low-grade temp of about 100.5 -101; how detrimental is this to me and the pregnancy since it's been a few days, and, 2) if this is a case of a gallbladder infection, what could happen to both me and the baby if it is left untreated? Are the symptoms I described common to a gallbladder problem? I am currently taking reg. Tylenol and it really doesn't seem to be helping. I am very concerned that something serious is brewing and nothing is being done. Should I be more assertive or should I just "wait it out" as has been suggested. Your opinion is most appreciated.
