Hi,

A brief history on me. I am 29 and trying to conceive for 8 months now. No known medical problems, no allergies. This cycle was my first on Clomid 50 mg. Under the direction of my ob/gyn I took it cycle days 3-7. My dr. prescribed the Clomid because my cycles have been slightly irregular after birth control pills. I had an LH surge on cycle days 13-14. This week, two days before my period was due, I began to have PVC's (premature ventrical contractions). I went to my local ER as I had never experienced anything like this and it was very disturbing. The ER doctor had me wear a heart monitor for 24 hrs and now I am waiting to be referred to a cardiologist. All my blood work was normal. My period started today (cycle day 28) with extremely severe carmps and it is very heavy. So severe that they made me nauseated. I would compare the pain to a kidney stone I had 4 year ago - it was that bad. After my period started, the irregular hearbeat I was having returned to normal for over 24 hrs now. My ob/gyn does not know what to make of this and he doubts that these conditions are a result of taking Clomid. I am terrified to start another cycle of the Clomid. Have any of the doctors here heard of this happening to a patient? Could fluctuating hormones have caused the PVC heart condition? Were the PVC's just a conincidence on my first cycle of Clomid? My ob/gyn has not given much direction on this matter. I would appreciate your brainstorming here...

Thanks for your time
