fetal movementFrom: Nikki (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 31 Aug 2001 22:07:19 -0500 (CDT)
Is it true that if the baby starts moving "violently" or wildly, that the cord could be wrapped around its neck and its struggling for air? Someone told me this, because she went to the ER thinking that was the case. Her baby was moving so much and then stopped, so she thought it could have had the cord cut off air. Her story scared me, I've never even thought about that. So far my baby's movements have been very consistent, although now I tend to pay attention a little more. Maybe since I'm only 3 weeks from EDD I'm worrying about things, but of course I think most first-time Moms worry about things like stillbirth. Anyway, I just wanted a professional opinion.
