My little NoahFrom: Heidi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 31 Aug 2001 22:54:51 -0400
I wanted to first thank all of you for your prayers and concerns. Unfortunately God has a much bigger plan for Noah. They have concluded that he did not get enough oxygen to his brain, and therefore he is "brain dead". However they do have to run more tests to officially pronounce him brain dead. In my mind driving to the hospital today, I mentally prepared myself to hear those words, however, my heart wasn't as easily fooled. This is a very difficult experience to go through, losing a child. And having this great feeling of loss, has brought my husband and myself to the decision to have Noah's organs donated. If he can save the life of a child or children, then my heart will be at peace. We were blessed with him in our lives for 9 weeks, now it is time for him to go on and do what has been planned for him, help other children. The death of a child, really reminds us to hold on to what is dear to us and not take it for granted. Again thanks to all of you for your prayers.
