I just suffered a tubal abortion at 5 weeks (just over). We are very upset, but wish to ttc as soon as possible (hoping to be more fertile after the m/c). I had and still have some discomfort in my right side and a swinging pyrexia. My physician has prescribed metronidazole tablets for 5-7 days and cefuroxime tds for seven days. If we are ttc this month, are either of those meds counterindicated in early pregnancy? If so, is there anything else, which is effective which can be used as a substitute?
