Re: A few more questions- no period-what's next ?From: anon (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 31 Aug 2001 12:58:39 -0500 (CDT)
Unfortunately, only time will tell, but sure it is possible to get a positive at home and a negative at drs office, and still be pregnant. If your period was only due yesterday, I would definately still have hope. It's still early and many women, including myself, don't test positive until week after period is due and pregnancies are fine. Have you repeated a home test? If you get a negative at this point with the same brand you originally tested positive (using first morning urine), that would suggest the pregnancy didn't continue. In addition to two healthy pregnancies where I didn't test positive until week after pregnancy was due, I have also had an experience with two clear positive tests on day period was due with an EPT that test for 50, then a negative at drs 2 days later. It was w/ middle of day urine, so I was still hopeful, but then I got a negative at home the following day with a First Response that tests for 25, so I figured I was definately not pregnant anymore. Two days later I started bleeding. No sure answers. I hope the best for you, but here's my different experiences for what it is worth.
