Questions about endo, ovulation, and infertility. Sorry so many. From: Joy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 31 Aug 2001 09:42:55 -0500 (CDT)
I have several questions. It took 3 years to conceive our first child due to endometriosis. He was born October 2000. First question: Is it true that a woman tends to have an easier time conceiving within the first year after a pregnancy. My periods returned on a regular basis 10 weeks postpartum even though I was breastfeeding. I am no longer breastfeeding. I really don't want to wait another three years. Does endo return? Also, will my husband's weight problem (he is overweight) affect sperm quality and count? Another question---Could intercourse cause pain in the cervical area and slight cramping? And, I think my last question: I don't do BBT but I do monitor cervical mucus and other ovulation signs. Is it possible though, to have ovulated earlier in your cycle, conceive, and not realize it and still experience signs of ovulation such as ewcm and cramping during the times you expected to ovulate. Or are the signs totally due to the ovulation hormones and do not occur unless these hormones are surging? Or could they be pregnancy signs from the sex earlier? I hope these questions made sense. I really enjoy this forum! Thanks again.
