Kristy, I can see how this might have seemed harsh, but I interpreted it as a real concern about women's health. Sneaking in food against doctors orders can be dangerous. Your "hehehe" may have triggered that response - since potential death is not really a laughing matter. Since you may not have known that was a potential hazard, his response may have seemed a bit shocking.

I am not a doctor, but I am a teacher. In my profession, we get the same questions SO many times over the years that sometimes we forget that our responses may seemed canned or even a little short. I imagine it is the same with doctors.

I do think that the doctors on this forum enjoy what they do and are more than willing to help. They vounteer their time on top of family and work. When I am tempted to cringe, I try to remember how demanding it must be to quell numerous fears in such a short amount of time.
