27 weeks, lost mucous plugFrom: michelleg (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 30 Aug 2001 12:13:17 -0500 (CDT)
Yesterday, I lost my mucous plug at 27.1 weeks. Went to the dr., I am not dialated and still "posterior". He is doing ultrasound on Tuesday to see if my cervix is shortening, until then I'm in bed. How dangerous is this? With my son, I lost my plug and 3 weeks later my water broke and I gave birth at 35 weeks. Do people lose their plug and carry to term? I'm very concerned. I have been on bedrest almost the entire 2nd trimester for hemorraghing due to placenta tear, and I was only up for 2 weeks on restricted duty,,, then this. I have alot of braxton-hix contractions each day. Please let me know your prognosis and how you would handle.
