I am just over 2 weeks pregnant- got a faint positive HPT yesterday, followed up with another urine test this AM at my family physician's office. Both were faintly positive. However, I'm a bit worried that this might be an ectopic. I've never been pregnant before, so I don't know if this is normal. I'm fairly certain that I conceived on 8/14 because I had severe Mittelschmerz that day and intercourse that day and the days preceding. Approximately 6 days later, I felt sharp pains in the same area during intercourse. Now I'm getting occasional pains and cramps in the same area of my right ovary. It's nothing severe and I'm not experiencing any bleeding, but I do need to defecate frequently (5 times today!) I made an appointment with an OB for next week, but am wondering whether I should try to be seen sooner. Would ectopic symptoms even be apparent this early? Is there some other innocuous explanation (like hormonal changes?) for the frequent defecation? Could the RLQ pain just be some sort of benign ongoing pain from follicular fluid? I'm just wondering if I need to move up my OB appt, since I don't think an ectopic would show up on an ultrasound until 4-6 weeks or so.
