Hi Megan, I am sorry but I can't recall the severity leading up to my possible period when I was pregnant - it has been along time since my first pregnancy when I had the endo much worse than I have had it in recent years. I do recall that I still had pain for the first few months though. As far as implantation etc... I don't know what the exact problem is that makes it difficult to get or stay pregnant for some women with endo.... The RE I saw simply described to me that it can make the "environment hostile"... I think there are several theories out there so I am not sure even the medical doctors know for sure. One theory my GYN mentioned was that the endo tissue produces extra prostaglandins which is what leads to the "hostile environment".

Also, I had a lap done for pelvic pain when I was 25 at which time the surgeon said he saw no endo. I had another one done at age 28 because I now had constant pelvic pain and the 2nd surgeon saw endo all over - I had also been on the pill since the previous surgery. The 2nd surgeon suspected it was there the 1st time but too small to see or the previous surgeon was not trained on all the possible appearances. I have had 3 children since my initial trouble - I am expecting 10/01/01 too!! Hopefully you will not have to worry about any of this and your pregnancy will go just fine!!! Regards, Sarah

PS. I am 39, over the years I have learned that there are alot of possible causes for pelvic pain. I have had 4 factors: endo, pelvic congestion, suspected adenomyosis, and myofascial trigger points in my lower abdominal wall. None are life threatening, just painful and a nuisance. It took me a while to get to a place where I realized that such bad pain didn't necessarily mean something that could kill me. (Sometimes I was sure my ovary was going to explode because that is what it felt like somtimes).
