Re: Back pain and positive pg test -FOR Doctor & anyoneFrom: SarahB (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 26 Aug 2001 18:24:48 -0500 (CDT)
Have you ever had a laparscopy to check for endo? I have struggled with endo problems for years and what you describe sounds similiar to some of my pain problems from endometriosis. Endo cannot be diagnosed with ultrasound or blood test. I always described mine as a deep burning pain that was definately cyclical and get worse right before my period.... The pain was also very bad when I took clomid to get pregnant and the doctor told me it was probably because the hormone levels were higher than what I normally have... When I did get pregnant it took a few months for the pain to calm down. If everything goes well with your pregnancy it is not something to worry about since the pregnancy will supress it. If by chance things don't work out, endometriosis would be something to look into. Also, I had terrible problems with low back pain for years.... it finally went away when I had my right ovary removed because of terrible pelvic congestion in the veins leading to/from the ovary (sort of like varicose veins - I had terrible pain in the ovary too) Best wishes for a succesful outcome.
