First of all Christy - how far along are you? You have to try to relax and calm down. Although a few weeks may seem like an eternity, it isnt, look at how far you have come. Your baby isnt ready yet and the more time in you, the more mature the lungs will be and the healthier your baby will be. I hear your pain and frustration - but please take it from a mom who had a preemmie - the NICU is no way to start a life with your child. You are stronger than the baby and you can hold on a little bit longer. Your body will let you know when it and the baby are ready. Please try to hang in there - your baby needs you to. Good luck :)
