-- Since you've had one ectopic, you should automatically have bloodwork done every other day to see if your numbers are normal. In an ectopic pregnancy, the hcg doesn't tend to double the way it should in a normal pregnancy and the progesterone levels tend to be low. By the 5th week, they should be able to identify a sac on a vaginal ultrasound. I know this because I had an ectopic as well. Also, just because your right tube is "open" doesn't mean that there is no damage to it. I had an ectopic in my left tube, which was open on the hsg. My doc said that next time I'm pregnant, my blood needs to be monitored immediately. If an ectopic is found early, they can catch it way before there is a chance of your tube rupturing. Good luck!
