FolliclesFrom: ACC (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 12 Aug 2001 00:26:49 -0500 (CDT)
I'm on my first cycle of Pergonal/Clomid. Today (day 9) I had 5 follicles, 1 is 16mm, 2 are 17mm, 1 is 18mm and 1 is 19mm. I had one more injection of Pergonal (225 iu) at this time and will get the HCG tomorrow and an IUI the 2 following days. I asked my doctor about the possibility of multiples as it appears that all the eggs may mature. He dismissed my concern and said we would be hopeful that even one of them becomes fertilized. My uterus lining is very healthy. Since this is my first cycle with fertility drugs I'm not sure what is normal. Is it common for women to have multiple mature follicles that don't get fertilized? I'm a little concerned about the possibility of having quads! Thanks.
