Re: 2 positive then 2 negative testsFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 8 Aug 2001 18:36:35 -0500 (CDT)
thanks Megan for the response. I started aburptly bleeding this a.m., so that's the end of that. I'm just presuming it probably is a very early miscarriage. I saw a reference on another site that showed a woman's hcg levels going from 48 to 7 in 2 days with a chemical pregnancy, so I guess the HCG can dissipate that abruptly. I'm just relieved that there won't be a significant delay in starting the next cycle of trying. In April of this year we had a fetal demise at 17 weeks due to tetraploidy (double set of chromosomes) If I was in fact pregnant this last cycle, even if only briefly, it was only our 3rd cycle of trying, so hopefully that bodes well for us in the coming months. (Our other children were conceived in the 1st or 2nd month of trying with uneventful pregnancies, so we'd been pretty cocky about our supposed "control" over reproduction. The last 6 months have been an unwelcome introduction to this whole other world of TTC. Sounds like we're both pretty lucky with our three healthy kids. I try and keep that in mind...
