I am currently 6 weeks 3 days pregnant and this past weekend, my ankles and feet began swelling to three times their normal size. I teach full time but put up me feet when I can and try to stay off them as often as possible. I called my doctor and she said to drink more, stay out of the humidity (I live in NC.) and to watch my salt intake. I have tried to do as I am told but they still continue to swell. It is really awful and is starting to be painful for me to walk around. I cannot fit into most shoes from the start of the morning and at night, no way. Is this normal? I am not do to go in for another week and a half, shoud I try to go sooner? What is causing this??? Thanks.
