Serzone, Pregnant, and Terrified...From: Rose (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 8 Aug 2001 00:42:38 -0500 (CDT)
Dear Ob/Gyn.net, I just found out that I am pregnant, though I don't know how far I am just yet. I suspect that I am somewhere between 3-5 weeks. I did not plan on becoming pregnant and have been taking a regular dosage of Serzone for depression. I have been taking this unaware for my entire pregnancy and I am scared to death that something will be wrong with my little baby. Could you tell me at what risk I am at for something to be wrong and what those somethings could be? I did stop the medication immediately, and I am praying that everything will be okay. I know nothing about this drug and pregnancy. Has it been related to any abnormalities? I know that every mother's prayer is for a healthy baby, and I would be devastated to know that I hurt mine, even if unintentional. Thank you very much for your time and help.
