Hi Lorrie, I'm almost 23 weeks along and I started contracting like that even earlier than you did. My doc said that it was *not* too early to get Braxton Hicks, and he said that's what they were. He said that it's the uterus "exercising" and preparing for childbirth. I have TONS of them everyday - sometimes over 50 of them. Now, I don't know if that's normal or not. Truthfully, I only get that many when I'm dehydrated from nausea/vomiting. If I keep well hydrated [when I'm able to!] I have much less. I notice them whether I'm standing up or laying down.
