question about semen

hi, myself and hubby are waiting for semen analysis results:

Questions 1 sample taken friday, why is there such a wait if it needs to be tested asap? 2 If the sample was not examined quickly, would the result state that? 3 If as above q, would the count still be the same as if it had been done asap, ie would the count include dead s[perm etc? 4 Would just the motility be affected

or would the results be the same regardless of the time it was left?
