Unisom tablets in pregnancyFrom: Julie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 31 Jul 2001 07:49:23 -0500 (CDT)
Hi I was wondering if Unisom tablets (not the gelcaps) were safe during the second and third trimesters? I was told I could take unisom (half a tab) every six hours for morning sickness during the first trimester, but it is safe later on? I took a half a one last night because I could not sleep but afterwards thought that perhaps I shouldn't have - I also did this once before but didnt think it would be a problem since the ob prescribed them for sickness, now I am not so sure. Are they safe just once in a very great while. during the latter part of the pregnancy? If not, what damage could be done (I am 39 weeks pg now and probably took another half a one during the 20-28 week period). Thank you very much for answering.
