I have chronic hypertension since the age of 18. I am 32 now. It runs in the family. With my first baby 9yrs ago I didnt have any problms with b/p. With this pregnancy my b/p begain to raise at 37wks. I am due aug 1. Normally my b/p is 110/70, but my last few doc visits its been anywhere from 130/140/80/90. I had protein in my urine they say. I have mild swelling in my feet and once in awhile my hands. I was on aldomet 250mg once a day. This got increased to three times a day. I cont to have protein and my b/p was 130/80 last visit. I know what PIH is but I already had hypertension. Is this preeclampsia or normal pregnancy problems?
