>From what I recall from TCOYF the LH surge detected by the OPK's
predicts that O will occur. If you are getting a temp surge you are
ovulating, according to TCOYF this is more reliable than the OPK because
the OPK only tells you that you have produced an LH surge. In rare
cases, there can be LH surge with no O. On the other hand your body
should not maintain higher BBT until the corpeus luteum produces
progesterone, all as a result of ovulation.
Any number of things can cause O to be late, stress, illness maybe
others.
Are you doing the OPK in the afternoon? That is supposed to be the best
time.
