Some women are so devastated by these losses that they quit after 2; others go on for years and years, never giving up hope that someday the baby they are meant to have will come to them. You certainly should have testing done to try to figure out why you may be miscarrying. Sometimes a treatable cause is found. You should also consider a support group or counseling. These are losses, and the appropriate counseling can make a world of difference -- posting here and hearing from other women who have been in your shoes can be enormously helpful as well -- I know it was for me, after my first 2 miscarriages. After my second miscarriages (following a couple of years of infertility), I didn't think I could try again, from an emotional standpoint. I'm glad I did becasue I have teh most wonderful daughter now. Hunter is 2 1/2 and is the light of my life. I did have a third miscarriage after her, and have decided not to press my luck again (heck, I'm 40 [shudder ;-) ] now anyway!), but if I hadn't had a successful pregnancy, I'd probably still be trying.
I hope you find peace and healing -- and I hope one day your baby comes
to you, either through your own pregnancy or adoption
