large uterusFrom: Liz (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 25 Jul 2001 14:30:51 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I am 24 married mother of 3. I have had 10 miscarriages and 2 very early preemies. I have just been to a new doctor today for a pap and internal. I am 8-9 weeks pregnant. He says my uterus is the size of a large orange or grapefruit this to me seems way to big for 8-9 weeks. I am 100% positive on my dates and I had a ultrasound at 6 weeks to confirm pregnancy and dates. I have always been about the size of a small to medium orange at 10-11 weeks and most others are to. I also hav a high hcg level. Could this be twins? I am already a high risk pregnancy due to past miscarriages and pre mature births at 27 and 23 weeks. I need to know if it could be twins and what size should I be with each week of a singleton pregnancy? Please help I do not know if I should trust my experience or my doctor? Liz
