33 weeks---still have vetigo for month nowFrom: Wendy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 24 Jul 2001 08:15:18 -0500 (CDT)
I wrote almost a month ago regarding waking up with vertigo that stays with me the entire day. Over the course of the month, the nausea has decreased but I still have the vertigo on a consistent basis. It is quite debilitating--I can't drive or really leave the house. I feel "sick" most days. Saw and ENT and had an ENG test for nystagmus. Had the nystagmus which confirmed inner ear problem rather than brain. Good news. Still---no real explanation as to why this has happened or when it will go away. Mixed messages regarding whether this is a calcium crystal issue or whether it is caused by increasing fluids of pregnancy. I guess I want to know if other pregnant women experience this and if I will just have to deal with it for the next 7 weeks or if it will self-improve? Then there is a part of me that is scared it will be with me after the baby is born. A very scary thought. I may have the Epley maneuver done at my next ENT visit--but I don't have my hopes up for a recovery since this really could be do to the pregnacy and fluids. I guess I'm just discouraged because I feel so sick every day. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Wendy
