PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE tell your doctor about the herpes. There is absolutely NO guarantee that you will be over your current outbreak or that you won't get another at/during delivery. It is an extremely stressful time for your body and you don't want to take ANY chances. You would feel terrible if your baby ended up blind or any other thing that can happen if the baby is born while you have an outbreak (you can even pass it on without having noticable symptoms!!!) Get over the embarassment (and realize that you will hardly be your doc's first patient with this as it is not at all uncommon) and do what's right for yourself and your baby.
