Kelly Shanahan, MD, : "Re: Progesterone and Spotting Questions" I posted last week about how my Dr was switching me from Crinone (b/c of recall) to Progesterone Oil Injections. Well, I used my last Crinone on Sunday and had my first injection on Monday. My Dr is having me come in twice a week (monday and thursdays) for an injection. It took him quite a while to come up with a dosage of how much he was going to give me including talking with other dr's and going on the internet. He just seemed unsure. Im just a little concerned that twice a week isn't enough and would appreciate a 2nd opinion. I think its 1-2 cc's of 50mg i am getting twice weekly. How much of a change in dosage is this from Crinone 8% (90mg) used everyday. This morning i had some brown spotting which has since stopped...nothing major. Could the switch from the crinone to injects have caused this? Could a corpus luteum cyst which just started getting sore or sex from 6 days ago cause this?
