breastfeeding and rooming in after laborFrom: Jenny (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 20 Jul 2001 07:26:57 -0500 (CDT)
With my first I did rooming in and was breastfeeding. I was exhausted!! My baby ate every 1 1/2 hours and I didn't get much sleep. I plan on breastfeeding with this one but I would like to know what some options are about letting the nurses take care of it so that I can get a decent amount of sleep, like at least 4 hours straight. Is it really detrimental to give the baby a bottle supplement that early on? I just want to have a good start when I get home because I know that my sleeping will be next to none at that point. Any opinions or advice would be appreciated. Jenny
