When to stop baby asprin in a pregnancy?From: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 19 Jul 2001 22:32:46 -0500 (CDT)
I've had 2 early m/cs in the past, and after passing all of the anticardiolipid tests, etc. my Ob/Gyn suggested that I take 1 baby asprin per day as a precautionary measure. I have since changed Drs. and am 12 weeks into a normal pregnancy. My current Dr. is not fond of baby asprin, since there is no "known" reason for me to be taking it. However, ultimately he said it was my desicion as to whether or not I want to continue taking it. He said he would stop it if it were his decision. Help! How long do normal patients take it in a pregnancy? I am scared to stop it and end up miscarrying again. Dr. said since I am already 12 weeks there should not be a risk to discontinuing the use. I failed to ask how long patients normally take it. Can you help me?
