Hello again,

I had a very early faint positive on a first response pregnancy test the day before yesterday 5 days before menses due. I had lots of symptoms and did the test, we had used OPK this month and I am sure of when menses are due.

I rang the 800#, they said that although it was V.v.faint, it was read within the allotted time, and in the right place so it was positive. The test measures for 25 iu of hcg. And is designed to work three days before menses are due.

This am (3 dys before menses due) I repeated and it was neg. I rang the no again, they asked if my symptoms were there (they are) and stated that it is still v. early, and that the hormone can fluctuate at this time. I used first am urine.

Can this be so? I thought it doubled every 48 hours? Should I assume i have lost the pg or wasn't in the first place?

Please reply, I am going nuts,Thankyou Alli
