Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: Cerclage Removal" I will be 36 weeks Thursday and doctor plans on cutting stitch on July 27th or 30th (next week). How is this done? and how quickly will I go into labor? Have you heard if someone has gone to full term once the stitch has been removed. I have been on total bedrest since my 28th week due to total effacement to the stitch. before stitch placement at 20th week I was dialated to 2cm. I am on Brethine for contractions - currently very irregular contractions. currently the baby is engaged not sure at what station.
