Recently, I found a lump in my throat/chin area. I went to see an eye, ear and nose dr. and he said it was an infected lympnode (spelling?). He wanted me to take an antibiotic, until I explained to him that I was trying to get pregnant. I am on clomid... and hopefully will get pregnant this month, but if I don't, and I get my period, the dr. suggested I take the augmentin on the day I got my period for 10 days so that I will finish the antibiotic one day after I finish the clomid (since I take clomid day 5-9). My question is 1) how quickly will the antibiotic be out of my system? 2) So,is it safe to begin trying to get pregnant the day after I stop the antibiotic? That is, day 10? I read that augmentin is fairly safe during pregnancy, but that is not the sense the dr. gave me. 3) is it considered safe during pregnancy? Thank you so much. Your help is greatly appreciated!
