I am not a doctor. I would just like to tell you about my own experience with chaste berry (vitex). First of all, cycles vary from woman to woman and you do not have to have a 28 day cycle. I myself have a very funny 30 day cycle and get an Lh surge on cycle days 16-18. It would change every month. Also, I never had any noticeable ewcm ever! The only constant was that my period started every 30th day. I was ttc for 4 months. I started taking vitex from the start of my last menstrual period until I got an Lh surge with an OPK. 12 days later I got a + pregnancy test. Coincidence- I don't know. I have 4 friends that have or were ttc and 2 that were recently taking vitex had varying cycles and 1 of them is pregnant. I do not believe a 28 day cycle is necessary. I am now 7.5 weeks pregnant. My friend that did get pregnant spent hundreds of $$$ literally on OPK's because her cycles were so off- sometimes 41 days sometimes 33 etc..etc... And she would go thru the 5 packs like crazy- with hopes of determining when she was ovulating. I don't think she ever was able to pinpoint ovulation.. So the vitex did not help her there. I only know that she took vitex daily and 6 months later, well, she is now 6 weeks pregnant. I wish you the very best. I hope that this helps.
