Re: Clomid and other drugs that could cause multiple eggs to be releasedFrom: Teja (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 12 Jul 2001 11:34:16 -0500 (CDT)
Dear Dr. Lynn , I've been trying to concieve since Jan , 2001 . I finally did concieve in May , and should be 10 weeks pregnant now , but the ultrasound done on Monday revealed no featus , just a "spot" , which my doctor says is only about 4 weeks old. I've done 2 blood tests , whose results are due tomorrow (Friday) and we'll know if the pregnancy is going to continue or not. If the results are negative , it means that even though I concieved after 6 months trying , I've not been able to have a successful pregnancy. I dont know how "Infertility" in defined in medical lingo , but isnt difficulty in conceiving and difficulty carrying a baby to full term atleast indicate problems somewhere ? Second , although my husband initially did not want us to have a baby , he's now looking forward to this child . If there's to be no baby now , he wants to try again . Obviously , if I'm to go in for any kind of medication , it would be with his full consent and not on the sly. I am just praying that this pregnancy will continue , and we'll have a healthy child . Thanx for ur time , Hopeful
