Do I need to be induced because of GBS?

I just learned that I tested positive for Group B Strep at 37 weeks. I cannot seem to find out exactly what this is except some "colonized" infection which can hurt the baby if she contracts it during labor. I read that I must receive IV antibiotics for 4 hours during my labor. However, my last labor lasted only 1 hour and 6 minutes!!! I am petrified that I would not have enough time to receive the appropriate dose to protect the baby. Is it best to have the labor induced so that my baby and I are closely watched? What is typical of women who have GBS and deliver vaginally? Is this life threatening to my baby in any way? Thank you for any input at all!!
