Is it true that Clomid is a drug used in infertility treatment , which results in a woman producing more than 1 egg and therefore leading to multiple kids ? I ask this because not only am I having problems concieving (I'll know on Friday if my 10-week-old baby stopped growing or is doing well) , but also having difficulty convincing hubby to have kids. Its not like he doesnt like children , in fact , he loves them , but for some reason , he's reluctant to go for in kids himself , esp. now.

I want to use Clomid , so that we can finish our family at one go . My questions are :

(1) How many eggs is it possible for a woman on Clomid to release ? Will taking more of Clomid cause more eggs to get released ?

(2) Will there be any side effects because of using Clomid (my doc says I might be having a "blighted" ovum inside me right now (not sure what it really means but I dont think its good news) ? Will using Clomid cause my ovums to get "blighted" -- or will my eggs be healthy ??

(3) Copulating closer to ovulation day is said to create boys and copulating some days prior to ovulating causes girls ? Is there any scientific basis to this ? If there is , when does one copulate in order to ensure boy-girl twins ??

Thanx for ur time ,
