Jenny, At 23 weeks gestation, the top of the uterus should be about 3 cm above the belly button. This said, the area where you feel movement is not that unusual. Regarding weight gain, first, the ultrasound at 20 weeks showed normal growth I assume. Further, women who tend to be overweight going into pregnancy tend to gain less weight. Weight gain is very individual and I can't predict how much you will gain, but as long as the uterus is growing per your physician's measurements, things with the baby are fine... Lynn
