I understand your feelings about going through that all over again.

I am currently on total bedrest with my second child - currently 34 weeks today - I had a emergency cerclage done at 20 weeks dialated to a 2cm not sure of length. put on modified bedrest afterwards, at 28 weeks i was effaced to the stitch. I have been put on T-bedrest for the past 6 weeks. I am also on meds for contractions.

When I was put on t-bdrest i heard about sidelines - I was then put in contact with a person who went through a similar preg. for support. You might consider calling them now to talk thru some feelings you may have and they may give you additional resouces. My support person went through two preg. both with a cerclage and i believe the second went smoother because they knew what to expect.

preventative cerclage and I have even heard that sometimes a drwill put in 2 sticches in case one tears.. Also, there may be a time for bedrest.

Good luck in your decision. I know it was hard for us to consider getting preg. again after a very rocky 1st delivery.
