? About Length of Luteal Phase if Ovulate LateFrom: Alison (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 5 Jul 2001 06:55:03 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, thanks in advance for any input. I normally have 28 day cycles like clockwork, with ovulation occurring on day 14 (as confirmed by opks). I had a d&c for a missed m/c on 4/27 at 10 1/2 weeks. I had my first regular af commencing on 6/7. According to an opk, the appearance of ewcm and cervical position, I surged on 6/23 so I assume I ovulated on 6/24, which would have been day 18 of my cycle. Does this mean I will have a shorter luteal phase and get my next af around my normal time, which would be now (yesterday was cd28 for me), or should I expect af to start later since ovulation occurred four days later than usual? I am trying to determine when I should take an hpt. Typically my breasts start getting sore right after ovulation, but did not start getting sore this time until yesterday. Is this just a sign that my body is still messed up after the d&c and I really can't expect anything to happen on its "normal" timeframe? Thanks, Alison
