According to my docs, once you test positive you should always be treated with antibiotics because GBS comes and goes and you don't want to have the baby when you have it. To the original poster: I would get to the hospital as soon as you have regluar contractions. If you doula can check your cervix, they started giving me antibiotics at 4 cm. and repeated them every 4 hours.
