Do all pregant women have a visible ovarian cyst?From: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 1 Jul 2001 22:08:43 -0500 (CDT)
I know that the corpus leutum (sp?) is what produces progesterone in early pregnancy, does that mean that all pregnant women would have a visible cyst on a TV ultrasound? Can you be pregnant and not have a visible cyst? (I had a TV ultrasound 2 weeks ago and no developing/large cysts were found, but I thnik I may now be pregnant. I'm just wondering if that's possible. During my last pregnancy, at an 8 wk ultrasound they noticed a large follicle and said it was normal) One more question, if I had the TV ultrasound after fertiliztion, but before implantation would anything show up? Thank you for all your help.
