baby's position

I am 28.5 weeks and wondering when, if at all, I would be able to tell when the baby turns head down. My OBGYN said at 36 weeks if he is breech he will likely stay that way (I have higher risk for that b/c of bicornuate uterus) but I'm wondering also, at what point will he be unable to turn/flip anymore?
