Corpus LuteumFrom: Lily (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 29 Jun 2001 15:05:33 -0500 (CDT)
According to the OPK I did not ovulate between days 10-16. Because of heavy CM on day 8, I believe I may have actually ovulated then (I'm in my 40's). The RE did an ultrasound on day 17 and noticed what appeared to be the corpus luteum. If the corpus luteum is still there at day 17 when there wasn't any ovulation at least from day 10, could I be pregnant? Would a vaginal ultrasound that early be able to detect a pregnancy. Does the corpus luteum just hang around until the next month if there is no ovulation? If there is no conception, how long before it dissolves? Thanks!
